Before getting started with your SmartTub® System, ensure your hot tub has been placed, installed, and hooked up in the desired location. 2.Connect your hot tub to your water source and power supply. Follow the instructions in your owner’s manual, or consult an electrician, to ensure this is done properly.

3.Fill your Jacuzzi® Hot Tub with water. Ensure your hot tub is properly wired, filled, and operational before activating and linking your Jacuzzi® SmartTub® System to Alexa.

4.Connect the SmartTub Module. The SmartTub module is the key piece of technology that connects your Jacuzzi hot tub to the SmartTub app. If the module is not pre-installed, you may need to install it manually by connecting it to the control panel of the hot tub. Follow the instructions that come with your hot tub or SmartTub® System.

5.Download the SmartTub App. The SmartTub® app is available for iOS and Android devices. Go to your preferred app store and search for “Jacuzzi® SmartTub.”

6.Install the App. Download and install the app on your preferred smart device.

7.Create an Account. Once downloaded and installed, open the app and create a new account. If you already have an account, simply log in.

8.Pair your hot tub with your SmartTub® app. Enable your Bluetooth®1 and Wi-Fi on your mobile device. Open the app and follow the on-screen prompts to pair your hot tub. You may need to have your hot tub’s serial number handy. Then follow the pairing instructions. Once your hot tub is paired with your SmartTub® app, you can configure your settings.

Link your Jacuzzi® SmartTub® account to Alexa

To link your Jacuzzi® SmartTub® System to Alexa, launch the Amazon Alexa app on your smart device, then go to the “More” menu. Select “Skills & Games,” and then search for the SmartTub Skill. Once located, tap on it to enable use.

Next, you’ll be prompted to log in using your Jacuzzi® SmartTub® account credentials, which are the same ones you use for your SmartTub® app. You will need to grant Alexa permission to access your SmartTub® account. This will allow the voice assistant the ability to control your hot tub by the sound of your voice. Once you’ve linked your SmartTub® app with Alexa, the voice assistant will that confirm your account is connected.

Now that your Jacuzzi® SmartTub® System is successfully set up and linked with Alexa, or your preferred voice assistant, you can begin to monitor, control, and optimize your hot tub experience simply through the sound of your voice.

There are many ways you can do so through Alexa. For example, you can use basic commands to turn your hot tub on or off by simply stating, “Alexa, turn on my Jacuzzi®, or Alexa, turn off my Jacuzzi®.”

You can also ask Alexa to handle specific commands, such as setting your hot tub water to your desired temperature in preparation for a soak. You can do so by stating, “Alexa, set my Jacuzzi® temperature to 102°F, or Alexa, increase my Jacuzzi® water temperature by 2 degrees.” You can also command Alexa to turn your Jacuzzi® Jets on and off. You can then ask Alexa to decrease the water temperature when you are finished with your hydromassage.

Additional control features through Alexa include commanding it to ask your SmartTub® app what the current temperature of your Jacuzzi® is, or whether the water is ready. You can even have it ask your SmartTub® app whether there are any maintenance alerts you should be aware of.

The Jacuzzi® SmartTub® System is compatible with, and comes standard on, many Jacuzzi® Hot Tub models. All 2016+ models are compatible for aftermarket installation.
