Your Jacuzzi® Hot Tub will provide many years of relaxation if you give it proper care. Keeping your spa sparkling and inviting inside and out isn’t daunting. In fact, hot tub care is easier than it has ever been. Just a few minutes a week is all you need to properly maintain and care for your hot tub.

Test Your Hot Tub Water
Before you fill your hot tub, you should test your source water using test strips. This will help keep your water balanced and help avoid problems that can crop up. The three most important factors in balanced water are pH, alkalinity, and calcium hardness.

Regular testing of your hot tub’s water will keep you on top of any changes in water balance. Unbalanced water can lead to issues including cloudy water, skin irritation, and equipment corrosion.

Choose A Sanitizer
Technology has made keeping your water balanced easier, but every hot tub needs sanitizer. Using a good sanitizer prevents bacteria from growing in your spa. The most common sanitizers are chlorine, bromine and mineral sanitizers.

Know When To Refill
We recommend draining and refilling your hot tub every three to four months to keep the water balanced and clean. If you use your hot tub more often, or are having difficulty balancing your spa water, drain it and refill it more frequently.
