CREATING A HALLOWEEN ATMOSPHERE IN YOUR HOT TUB

Jack O Lantern

Halloween is a special time of year for the young and young at heart. Whether or not you intend to don a costume and go trick or treating this season, there’s plenty of ways to “trick” out your spa so you can enjoy some good spooky fun in your own backyard.

Colored Lights
Switch out the bulbs in your hot tub with colorful variations. Look into the traditional Halloween orange, or try something more festive in purple, magenta, or even a cool blue. The color will brilliantly illuminate the water and change the atmosphere in your spa.

Light Strings
Hang small strings of lights from the ceiling or support beams around your hot tub to give it a vivid glow. You may also wish to set up electronic candles to create a “haunted pathway” to the hot tub. Please be very careful to keep actual electronics at least a couple feet away from the spa.

Spiderwebs
Purchase some spiderwebs and drape them from the ceiling to create a spider’s lair. You can outfit this web with various accessories, such as candies, small Halloween-themed toys, or even a large plastic spider. Alternatively, place something unexpected in the web: a toy dragon, for example, or a hockey mask.

Glowing Orbs
Place glowsticks of any color inside black and orange balloons and inflate them. When you tie off the balloons, you’ll have glowing orbs that you can use to adorn the exterior of your tub or the ceiling above it.

Halloween Snacks
No hot tub gathering is complete without some snacks, and Halloween requires a special touch. Peeled grapes and olives feel an awful lot like eyeballs, and red punch certainly looks like something a vampire would drink. Serve these treats on floating snack trays and you’ll have spooky and sweet appetizers.

You put a great deal of effort into decking out your house for Halloween. Why not give your hot tub the same amount of attention? Get into the spirit of the season and create a fun, festive environment for you and your guests to soak in. Halloween only happens once a year: Make it memorable!
