HOT TUB MAINTENANCE TIPS FOR 2017

Hot Tub Maintenance Tips 2017

Keep Your Hot Tub Sparkling Inside and Out

If you’ve never owned a hot tub, the thought of maintaining one may seem overwhelming. But in reality, hot tub care is easier than ever. Thanks to the latest technological advances in materials and water care, a few minutes a week are all you need. Just follow our simple maintenance checklist, and you and your family will enjoy using your spa for years to come.

The Outside

Covers: Spa covers make it easy to maintain your hot tub by protecting it from the elements and keeping your water fresh. However, your hot tub cover is exposed to the elements and can be damaged by UV rays, dirt, and stains. Here are the steps for taking great care of this important part of your spa:

  • See your Jacuzzi® Brand Hot Tub dealer to purchase vinyl cleaner and protector for your hot tub cover.
  • Wipe down the top of the cover using the vinyl cleaner and a soft cloth.
  • To clean the underside of the cover, use a garden hose and, if necessary, a non-abrasive sponge for persistent dirt or stains.
  • Use vinyl cleaner only on the top of the cover—you don’t want any of the cleaner’s chemicals to get into your hot tub, as this could affect the water chemistry.
  • Let the cover air-dry fully before applying the vinyl protector.

Shells: Most hot tubs have acrylic shells that are simple to clean. Because they are non-porous, dirt and germs cannot penetrate them; however, the shell can get dusty. Wiping it down with a damp cloth periodically will keep your hot tub looking as nice as the day you bought it.
