Chuck Stafford — President / Owner
Charles "Chuck" Stafford started with Van Dorn Pools fresh out of high school, working with the original owner, Frances Nield. Chuck brought many different aspects to Van Dorn Pools, making it the full service pool and hot tub installation, dealer, and service provider it is today. As co-owner of Van Dorn, Chuck likes to maintain an active role in the business. It's not uncommon to see him greeting customers and assisting on the floor of our Reisterstown location. It's this personal touch from Chuck and all the staff at Van Dorn that makes our customers feel right at home as soon as they walk through our doors! When he's not working, Chuck enjoys the outdoors, gathering with family and friends and giving back to the community.
Jay Stafford — CEO / Owner
John "Jay" Stafford started with Van Dorn Pools when his older brother Chuck enlisted his help after purchasing 1/2 of the business. His motto "If you are not growing, you're dying," has been a driving force in the growth of Van Dorn through the years, and continues to shape the company today. Jay's commitment to an exceptional customer experience is instilled into the culture of the company. This uncommon focus on service is one of the first things new customers notice when they walk through our doors! During his time off, Jay enjoys the beach, boating, farming and being with family and friends, especially relishing the time he spends with his three boys.
Donna Gaver — Retail Store Manager
As the Manager of our Shrewsbury location, Donna spends most days teaching water chemistry and pool operations to new and existing pool customers. Customers love the energy she brings to the store and the personalized service she offers. Donna has an Associate of Arts with High Honors degree in Music and now specializes in Motown shower singing. She's a car and toy enthusiast with a passion for animals and spends her free time with her husband and four rescued "fur-babies".
Lynn S. Wine — Manager Assistant
Since joining the Van Dorn team in 1989, Lynn has been working in sales, retail management and in-field customer service. Lynn and David will visit your home to help you find the perfect placement for your new pool or spa. Lynn will then develop your plan into a detailed drawing. This rendering gives you a visual representation of how your backyard space will look. She plays a vital role in the beginning steps of your pool building process. Lynn has been invested in Van Dorn Pools leadership for quite some time as she is Chuck and Jay's mother. When Lynn's not working, she enjoys fishing and spending time with family.
Paul Simpson — Assistant Sales Manager
Paul Simpson has been with Van Dorn Pools & Spas since 2012. He has spent most of his career in customer service and has found a natural fit with Van Dorn. Paul sincerely enjoys every aspect of his position - overseeing the retail store and directly assisting our customers, along with handling new sales and projects. While Paul mostly spends his time at the Kingsville location you may see him once and awhile at any of the three locations. He is Van Dorn's go to guy when it comes to store management and will step in at any of the locations when his help is needed. In his off time, Paul is always doing something fun with his girlfriend, whether it's camping, going to music concerts, or spending the day at the beach.
