How to select yours:
DETERMINE THE SIZE OF THE BATH
Baths are measured by length, width, and height (i.e., depth). Try our feature selector tool to view products by size - and then select the features you want to see the perfect bath for you.
Questions to Ask:
How much space do you have available?
Are you planning to knock down walls as part of your remodel? If so, who will be doing the work? You will want to consider working with a contractor or design professional to make sure the work is done correctly.
Who will be using the tub? You will need to consider their size, number, and needs.
For children, our baths are designed to run with minimal water, and we invented the safety suction, so there is no need to fill the bath all the way.
For two people, you will need a center drain on a rectangle, or a corner tub.
For a tall person, you probably want a 6-ft (vs. 5 ft) bath.
DETERMINE THE DRAIN AND PUMP LOCATIONS
A center drain is best if you plan to have two people in the bath at the same time.
Baths come either right hand (RH) or left hand (LH), depending on where the faucets are.
DETERMINE PREFERRED INSTALLATION TYPE
Deck-mounted (or drop-in):
This installation type will require more room than a recess-mount. It also requires you to build in a surround for it.
Recess-mounted (or niche installation):
The bath is installed between two (or three) walls; the walls touch the top deck of the bath. This installation type requires less room than a deck-mount.
DETERMINE WHETHER OR NOT YOU WANT A SKIRT
Opting to have a skirt will save you money on tiling and will provide access to the plumbing for service.
DETERMINE ANY ADDED FEATURES YOU DESIRE
These could include a heater to keep the water warm, and drain and trim kits. Choose your desired enhancements (pillow headrests, handrails, etc.)
SELECT A COLOR
Typically, you will want to match your bathtub color to the base color of your sink and toilet. However, there are no hard rules on color choices. Go with your gut - or hire a designer if your gut isn't talking.
