Jacuzzi Redefining Home Spa Luxury In 2006

(Orlando, FL -- January, 2006) --Luxury knows no bounds as Jacuzzi Bath Division incorporates many of its most exceptional features as standard in its high-end series of tubs. The Luxury Collection, which will take center stage here at the International Builders' Show, January 11-14, Booth #931, now reflects the brand's full repertoire of home spa indulgences.

"From this point on," said Phil Weeks, president of Jacuzzi Bath Division, "Jacuzzi's Luxury Collection baths will immerse the consumer in a total spa experience offering a menu of treats. We are redefining the category with the marriage of all our technologies in our most desirable tub designs."

This new combined hybrid genre has been dubbed Salon, and it features the luxury of Jacuzzi's original whirlpool bath together with its newest technology, Pure Air bath, for the ultimate in a total spa experience. Consumers will have the option to enjoy either hydrotherapy system individually or both simultaneously, conveniently controlled by a built-in all-in-one electronic touch pad. A two-speed motor allows control of the jet action to an individual's preferred comfort level, while Chromatherapy mood lighting, also a standard, adds the power of color to the experience.

"This represents a gigantic leap for Jacuzzi and an enormous value for discriminating consumers," said Melissa Gosling, director of marketing communications for the Bath Division.

Leading the parade of styles at I/BS that have added this full range of features are the Bellavista, Venicia and Sabella, as well as the newest members of the family - Elara, Duetta and Fuzion. The Allusion, introduced in May 2005, is what helped set in motion the concept for these combinations. The others in the Luxury Collection lineup will be available as Salon editions beginning in April 2006.

By upgrading the collection so radically, Jacuzzi is making it possible for consumers to appreciate water's restorative qualities in a variety of ways. The whirlpool bath, familiar to many, relies on the power of water jet action. The circular flow of air and water delivers a healthful therapeutic full-body massage. Jacuzzi's patented PowerPro, TheraPro and AccuPro jets, which are found on Luxury Collection styles, are fully adjustable for a customized massage. The whirlpool experience also is heightened by Jacuzzi's new two-speed motor which provides the individual with handy control options on the jet action.

An entirely different sensation is created by the Pure Air bath as a seemingly endless emission of thousands of warm effervescent bubbles surround the body. The breakthrough technology responsible for this uncommon bath treat is Jacuzzi's Pure Air system with patented 360° Balanced Air Flow. Pure Air circulates air through a 900 watt heated air blower and releases it through air channels that appear in the bottom of the bath as a parallel track of small holes. At the same time, the 360° Balanced Air Flow ensures that more consistent heat and air movement occurs, eliminating cold spots. The Pure Air bath, compared to the whirlpool, creates a more Zen-like mind-easing mood.

Most invigorating of all is when both the whirlpool and air are activated. The bather is enveloped in a bubbling surge that strikes an emotional chord as much as it answers the body's physical needs.

While the water is working its wonders, the power of color also can be switched on, with the inclusion of the LED Chromatherapy mood lighting system. The range of 256 colors adds a visually dynamic effect and appreciably helps to heighten the experience, whether one is seeking a soothing or stimulating bath.

And On The Style Front...

Jacuzzi has been equally dedicated to adding design and style qualities as it has to bringing more performance to its products. The Fuzion series reflects this commitment perfectly. The look of the tub is fashionable and distinctive. It features an exotic wood deck - light teak or dark wenge - that frames the acrylic and gives it a warm furnishing-like appearance suggestive of a secluded at-home spa getaway. There is a modern aesthetic to Fuzion, yet its clean architectural lines also make it a natural choice for classicists and traditionalists, as well. And, yes, it is among the first Luxury Collection models gaining the complete trio of bath functions discussed above, increasing its appeal even more.

The 72"-x-60" Fuzion boasts other significant Jacuzzi innovations. For instance, comparable to individual climate controls in upscale automobiles, Dual Zone allows each user in the two-person model to adjust the whirlpool power flows for personalized comfort levels. All told, there are 23 jets on this unit, including four patented TheraPro jets, AccuPro back jets, the option of fiber optic Illumatherapy mood lighting, plus Jacuzzi's patented SilentAir induction system, which translates to a quieter spa experience in the home. In addition to the 72"-x-60" two-bather, Fuzion is available in two other spacious sizes, including a corner version.

Stylish design and uncompromising performance also have touched the Sedona shower from Jacuzzi. This home spa "retreat" includes steam as well as shower. The built-in SteamPro operates handily via a touch pad control panel with built-in timer. What's particularly nifty about this feature is that it allows you to set the steam unit to automatically activate. In shorthand: you can wake up every morning to a pre-heated shower. Sedona also includes an integrated seat plus optional dome and glass door shower enclosure. It is the perfect personal alternative to the gym or health club.

Upgrades for Builder Models, Too...

The Comfort Line, Jacuzzi's extensive collection developed for the builder market, also has been the beneficiary of upgrades in 2006. The latest detail, which will be on view at I/BS, is new electronic controls. What's more, a considerable number of designs will be made available as Pure Air baths adding the same level of technology found in Jacuzzi's Luxury Collection. As Gosling noted, these improvements are being incorporated while prices are being held down, a unique step in an uncertain economy, but one that promises to keep the Jacuzzi brand competitive.

Adding to the Spa Environment...

Aggressively taking steps to solidify its ownership of the home spa category, Jacuzzi also is taking steps outside of its normal bounds of tubs to introduce a line of complementary accessories. Top among them is a radiant floor heating mat. Pervasive throughout European homes and other overseas construction, a radiant floor is an economical and savvy solution to heating. It is unobtrusive, discreetly sandwiched under the floor's surface eliminating the need for unsightly and space-reducing radiators or heating units.

Television in today's baths also is a luxury detail, which is why Jacuzzi is introducing Lift-It, an aluminum frame elevation system for plasma and flat screen TVs. At the push of a button, Lift-It smoothly raises the TV from a cabinet to a comfortable viewing level. When not in use, it can be lowered and automatically tucked away into its storage unit. Initially, two models are being offered: The Crest, for most 42" screens, and The Horizon, which accommodates most 27" sizes. Both feature cable management systems and are wired for remote control operation.
